SOLAR ALONE MAY NOT PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS ANYMORE.
Important Update
New MSEDCL rules now question the benefits of rooftop solar projects in Maharashtra with net metering connections.
New MSEDCL Rules
Rule 1 Three TOD (Time of Day) Zones for all customers with TOD meters
Zone 1 9 AM to 5 PM
Zone 2 5 PM to 12 Midnight
Zone 3 12 Midnight to 9 AM
One can only use solar power in Zone 1. Units exported in Zone 1 cannot be used in any other zone. Solar power generated in Zone 3 can only be used within Zone 3. Going forward, solar power cannot be exported and stored in the grid for use during the peak 5 PM–12 midnight slot.
Rule 2 Grid Support Charges
For all solar plants with connections greater than 10 kW, MSEDCL has introduced grid support charges on all solar units produced applicable to both LT and HT customers.
The Challenges
Existing solar plant owners who set up plants to use solar power across all time zones now need to rethink and restructure how they produce and store solar power under the new framework.
New solar plant planners now face a critical decision: opt for net metering connections or invest in local power storage using BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
Way Forward
Solaron®, a leading rooftop solar company, will break down the nuances of the new MSEDCL rules and recommend practical strategies for MSMEs and large corporates across different industries. The session will deep-dive into BESS technology and share proven methods to offset your carbon footprint while maximising solar power usage under the new guidelines.
Who Should Attend?
Owners, Manufacturing Heads, Plant Heads, and Technical Heads who are keen to understand the new MSEDCL rules and explore ways to maximise solar power usage under the revised guidelines.
The webinar will provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenge and actionable strategies to tackle them.
Bonus
Post-webinar, every attendee gets a free 15-minute 1:1 consultation with our experts for a customised solution tailored to your specific situation.
